Hey all. i am trying to figure out where to go with my blood angels army. I plan on getting a stormraven but not sure what else to get. I was think of either 3 landspeeder or maybe 3 - 4 bikes/attack bikes. My main problem, of course, is just getting into combat or just getting my guys into position without getting too beat up along the way. My main strategy is to split to full assault squads in cover them move them forward. I think drop pod a tac squad near a target/objective and try to pop that. I position a predator and/or plasma/missile launcher to be able to have a full firing arc all around. I also throw some sniper scouts to hopefully pick out some targets. I am also looking at a vindicator as that template looks nice to be able to plop around

1 - librarian - jump pack (generally runs divination)
1 - librarian - termie armie

20 assault marines - all weapons (magnetized)
15 tact - All weapons
7 devastators - 2 plasma -2 missile - melta - HB Sarge
2 AoBR Dreads
5 Sanguinary Guard
5 DC w/ jumps
10 DC - bolters
1 predator or Razorback - all weapons magnetized
6 termies - 5 AoBR - autocannon
2 Sanguinary priests - all weapons
Chaplain - power armor
6 shotgun scouts - HB
6 sniper scouts - ML
1 drop pod

By autocannon on the termies do you mean assault cannon? Cuz ur not csm

Anyway it seems like you are seriously lacking in the armor department I would suggest more preds or a LR as both are pretty cheap especially preds for what both can do I woild suggest another pred or 2 then a SR or LR

He could try a jumper list, but I think having no ranged firepower is the kiss of death in 6th edition. You may have seen my other comments. The BA are not nearly the codex they were in 5th. Someone had to be a loser in the switch over I guess.

I usually bring Stormravens for anti-air in 1750 or higher. Below that , I use quad guns and snap shot lascannons.

What you don't want to do is bring a few tanks but lack saturation. That being said, AV 13 and AV 14 have gotten a little I feel as people try to cheap out and bring krak missiles and autocannons as their anti tank. For me, melta and lascannons are still king.

The rage rule become unretarded in this edition, but DC are still crippled by not being scoring and having crap standard gear. I prefer the SG with built in jump packs, power weapons, and 2+ armor. Plasma is a problem, but as I said, the BA are far from perfect this game. The SG does make krak missile spam look silly

Do you think i should go Baal Predator or Just another predator? WHat about bringing 2 predators and a vindicator? My group is going to be doing 1850 games so I am definitely getting the stormraven?

About the death company, i don't use them too much anymore. For fun sometimes i throw bolters and a few power weapons on 10 of them and drop them in a pod. This is more as a distraction or maybe to take our weak squads but generally i don't run them.

Maybe i will get 1 more predator, a vindicator, and the stormraven? After that maybe 10 more assault squads that i can swap out for vanguard or sternguards.

for 1850 i would and some sanguinary guard

i would take another pred then a stormraven i generally dont need a vindicator until around 2000 poits and i run predators with just the naked autocannons on top as they are ridiculously cheap and effective and make it hard for your opponent to prioritze targets

i would drop the lascannons on the pred all together for your list and toss in another pred as you are paying the same amount of points for 2 auto preds as you are for one las pred

i would swap the devs for a pred and a vindi for a SR and drop the scouts for another tac squad with ML and flamer with a lasplasback on both squads maybe

Thats interesting. Maybe i will get a razorback, predator and the stormraven. I can grab an extra turret off ebay and swap out the razorback top if i want a third predator. I always wanted the stormraven so i am getting that.

Do you think it good to not have the devastators? I kind of like how 2 missiles 2 plasma work. I can see how this set up might confuse some opponents but the lack of the all the templates from the devs might be too much?

im not sure at this point level a SR might be overkill so its up to you for the devs or SR but i would either arm the devs with all ML or enough extra marines to CS them and have one squad of ML and one of PC with 3 marines to buffer them and toss the sarg with signum in the PC to reduce scattering so you can fire into narrower targets that may be near your units
