So I noticed (and unfortunately a little to late) that when I use my washes (GW and army painter) over vallejo model air metalics that the wash seems to leech out the little shiny bits. I ended up 'ruining' a pot of agrax earthshade because of this and I was wondering if this problem was normal. Its been causing a lot of issues for my word bearers as i wash the entire model with agrax earthshade after the red and metalics have been blocked in, and it spreads sparkly bits all over the model.

Also, i've noticed that when using agrax earthshade that sometimes when it dries it leaves this weird white residue and i'm not sure whats cause this.

it sounds like the metals didn't have time to dry properly...
either give it more time, or hit your mini with a hair dryer between stages...

i find the white residue is from not shaking the washes enough...

cheers

Iv had that problem my self. though i don't recall if i hastily washed before allowing to dry.

if anything though now i dull coat everything after base coating then wash which has solved alot of my problems.
