If a unit (loyalist SM unit, BA, Vanilla, SW, etc.) can take a Land Raider (variant) for a transport, then you can spam the stupid things, to the affect of 6 in a list? Still ? In 6e?

And, if this aspect of 40k has not has changed since 5e, Marneus is still the king and able to spam ... 7 of them?

It depends on the Codex, but most can "Spam" at least 3 of them.

Blood Angels can have Land Raiders as dedicated transports, so you could have 17 of them in one force org chart, not including allies.

Land Raiders cost points, a lot of them. And you also need a squad for each one to take them as dedicated transports. Hardly "spam" in the traditional sense.

you can still fit 6 for CSMs in a 1825 game... I would call that spam...

DA can fit 5... in 1935

Wolves can get 4. One Wolf Guard gets to take one as DT, plus 3 Heavy Supports.

Tau and Space Wolves since 5th Edition.

I was able to cram 2 Land raiders into a 750 point tourny a few months ago.

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen

That isn't spam that is funny. Spam is 3 flyers at 750 :-)

Thanks! This kind of post is the kind that should be exalted!

*sarcasm off*

If GW's rules and codecies were so clear, this forum and their erratas/FAqs wouldn't exist. Be helpful, please, or don't post.

Dark Angels Librarian with Book of Secrets

6e didn't change any of this.

And Ultramarines are far from the biggest LR spammers. Blood Angels can do 19 I believe, with Black Templars right behind at 16. Dark Angels can now field 12.

Odds of seeing more than two or three on a regular battlefield are low though. They are very expensive, and aren't that hard to kill for some armies.

If an opponent at my local wanted to bring 5 land raiders in a 2000 pt list I'd get an evil grin on, as my Dark Lances tore them a new one or my Tankbustas spammed them down.

Deffrolla derby works pretty well too

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts
