How many command squads can i take? Say i take belial abduction sammael as my hqs. Reading it i this i can take 6 command squads in total here's the break down:

I can take 2 normal command squads one for each hq.

Belial enables me to take a Deathwing command

Sammael enables me to take a Ravenwing command

Each enables me to take a techmarine who can purchase a bike. Being a hq on a bike enables me to take 2 further Ravenwing command squads. Giving me 6 command squads and 10 choices from a single detachment!

In the entry for the generic command squad it states that Techmarines do not allow you to take one of these command squads. That this is not the case for the Ravenwing command squad seems to be unintended. Expect it to be errata'd.

But you're right on the Termi- and Bike-HQs enabling two different command squads.

Yeah i noticed all that. My guess is faq says 1 command squad per hq whether bike or terminator. But it is funny.

Yep, we noticed trhat day 1. A bit like Sacred Standard wording mistake, plasma talon stats, etc....

What sacred standard miss wording?

Please field that many command squads, you wont have any points for troops.

Ahh it says "Relic" instead of "Sacred."

Think I am going to return my codex and then get the digital one. Seems the digital Dex has less mistakes than the printed version.

And this means that you could get those command squads for one HQ choice in an allied detachment, right?

So 1 HQ + 2 Command Squads + Techmarine + One Troop.

I am sure they will FAQ that, otherwise you could also take a Techmarine for each HQ in your attachment also.

GW is the ultimate posterchild for why digital rule books, properly updated, are much better than a print book.
