I'm new here, so I hope I post this in the right place, buuuut
I'm thinking of making a pre heresy Luna Wolves army, but I have no idea where to start, I dont really know what colors to start with or anything. I know (according to the horus heresy books) they wear white with black trim, but I've also read that they wear grey, I was thinking of making it a mix of the two, if anyone has suggestions on how to do this, or how I should actually start, I would be more than thankful.

I personally prefer the Sons of Horus colour scheme. Although tbh mate choose the paint scheme you like the most.

I am painting Emperors Children atm, and choose a Gold and Deep Purple / Terecota scheme as I prefer the look to the bright purple / pink.

Well, Mine was started as Luna Wolves, but with everything from FW coming out as Sons, i decided it would be an easier thing than filing down all of the sons logos etc.

I used Vallejo Dead White and P3 white primer, along with Chaos black, they are supposed to be white/off white, with black and red accents. more so on the black than red.

I probably end up going with a white, kinda the same as your Contemptor and the land raider Brokksamson. I plan on making the Mournival eventually, and probably a few tanks and such as well, onl problem being is forgeworld costs to much : / as for the Sons of Horus colors, I like them as well, but I dont feel like painting them as of now lol. I think I'll make some eventually though, just not now.

I started a small Luna wolves force, I'm starting off with squad Locasta. I started off mine with a ceramite white base coat and then washed with nuln oil and drakenhof nightshade. It makes for a more weathered squad
