Well then..! Me and my friends have just started playing 40k, so we are gonna start of small with some 500pts games to learn as we play..

Ive been lookin hard to find some lists around, and such, but theres not many around for 6th edition..! So i had to make my own..

So far, my list would look something like this;

HQ: Librarian, with Blood Lance, and The Sanguine Sword. 100 points.
Troop1: Death Companyx5 100points.

These would enter with a drop pod. 35points.

Troop2: 10x Assault Marines. 190points.
Elite: Sanguinary Priest, with jump pack. 75points.

So what do you guys think of this?

at such a low point level I'd suggest going for 3 vanilla 5 man assault squads just for the discount razorbacks and spam with them, dropping the DC and Sanguinary priest. Go for 1 with lascannon and 2 with assault cannons then give the librarian shield of sanguinius instead of the sanguine sword as it's pretty pants against anything other than monstrous creatures. Maybe replace one of those squads with a 5 or 10 man assault squad with as much melta or plasma (I'd recommend melta) as you can get just for deep striking to wreck something expensive.

What armies are your friends going to play?
