I suppose you'll stick the lord with the cultists, traveling on foot ?

May I ask why you did not pick smaller NM squads? Instead of 3 big squads, you could have 5 min sized ones, each with a rhino.

I do not like big shooting units, since as soon as one of the guys is in CC, the whole squad cannot do anything...

Drop the PW, and buy MB for all squads, just in case you need to tango with some dreads.

Only thing seb is that i get the icon of excess on more models if i keep em in squads of 10. If their bigger squads there worth tooling so that i have one squad that isnt completely useless in melee and can be the slightly in front squad.. Hope that makes sense.

If the nm do get in cc the lord or oblits can come help out... not great options but ./shrug

i guess its not really a competitive list after all.

if your guys are allready in rhinos, why bother with the icons? With those points you could almost get another two oblis but the FNP is nice but not mandatory when they are inside the rhinos.

I think this is becoming a relatively standard list. When I make an army I think can I handle IG tanks, flyers or vehicle spam, can I handle spam orks/nids, can I handle lots of elite 2+ saves, and now I'm going to just add a shooty slaneesh force into the list that I need to be able to tick off.

(Could you handle a terminator list with this one?)
(Could you handle AV14 - LR with the AP3 flamer things or a load of LRBT with their sides covered)

All I'm saying is you need to mix it up a little.

The best use of the rhinos in this list appears to be deploying them sideways on to shield the noise marines if your emeny gets to shoot first.

For termies and high av im really looking for my 4 oblits to swiss army knife me outa trouble. Its less a done deal and more a scramble but i think i might just get away with it. Worst case scenario i can just screen/feed with cultists.

The main idea is to move 6" with the rhinos and then have a 6" move with the nms T1 to get me near the edge of my deployment and then try and do as much damage and hold there as possible.

But Oblits can't fire the same weapon two turns in a row, so you really can not depend on them. This is why Oblits are not as hot as they use to be. They also need VotLW for the Ld boost. Two Predators with LC sponsons and a unit of Oblits give you the consistent firepower you need as well as the versatility to handle different lists. Besides, your havoks are glass cannons without VotLW or a Icon of Vengence to keep them on the board.

I think a lightining claw is the weapon of choice for Slaanesh marines. Same as a power sword but gives you Shread special rule. Every champ/lord needs a melta bomb.

I understand the thought on the IoE and big units. My response is do one large unit and several 5 man units with a single blastmaster. A 5 man squad with a single blastmaster, champ with a melta bomb in a Rhino with a Combi-melta is 175pts. Four of those units are 700pts. Your big units are 317pts, and your already spending 1061pts on your troops. BTW, you can't list points on equipment, but you can give us a total of the unit so I don't have to look up everything and do the math.

I was going to squeeze in a Deathstar and a Sorc, but didn't have the points. Dropping all of that gave me around 90-ish points, so I gave you gear (Doom Sirens and the Havoc launchers). I kinda feel the Lord is wasted in the gun, but your rear is pretty secure and that unit with a cover save from the wall, armor save, and FNP will be hard to take out. Add in the Oblits and Predators, and you have a ton of firepower coming from your start zone. The combi-Meltas on the Rhinos gives them something to do against armor. If you do blow up a transport, the Doom Siren and blastmaster can fire on any troops that might have survived. I think the DSs will make these units better if they actually do reach their target. The Havok Launchers on the Predators, along with the AC, gives them just as good of a anti-hoard firepower as they have for anti-tank for cheap. Besides, you might scatter and hit infantry around the vehicle, so the TLed might allow for some shenanigans there... oh, I hit the LR? That isn't good, guess I will re-roll via twin linked and hope I scatter.
