Q: How many points is Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus, from the
special edition Dark Vengeance boxed game?

A: 125 points. Seraphicus is an HQ choice in a Dark Angels
army, and a special character. He is an Interrogator-Chaplain
armed with a plasma pistol, as listed in Codex: Dark Angels. He
replaces the Interrogator-Chaplain’s Zealot special rule with his
own Litanies of the Dark Angels special rule.

Haven't read the codex yet, but this was in the FAQ. Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus a special character? It seems a little stupid to have a limited run of the only sculpt of a special character, even by GW standards. A little surprised, tbh. Anybody else?

Well, I think the funny part is him not being listed in the Codex itself despite being a special character.

While I have DV, I never paid much attention to the rules etc in the starter guides. Was Litanies of the Dark Angels just the usual rerolls to hit when charging?

Except the DV Collectors Edition's is a limited release? So eventually it won't be available.

Isn't he? I've only seen the FAQ, and apparently he is, according to it.

Well, I haven't read the actual codex much, but as I recall he wasn't in the army list entries. If he was, or if there was a page on him like of other special characters, there would not have been a need for the FAQ entry.

Litanies of the Dark Angels is just Preferred Enemy: CSMs

So nothing tooo special just a bit flavor for those who bought the LE.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

Heh, in other words useless compared to Zealot. But of course there's no need to actually play him using those rules. Mine got converted away from the lesser chapter anyways

He is not in the codex, but all the FAQ does is takes an interrogator chaplain, addas the cost of a plasma pistol, and changes the rule to litanies of the dark angels. THey are just doing simple math for you.

Aye. You can easily convert any old chaplain up to him if you dont have the official model.

Indeed, he is not a special character, any more than Harald Deathwolf in one of the WD issues was (they just gave a TWC Lord the appropriate wargear and did the math for you).

Well he is a SC as in that no other Interrogator chaplain could ever take Litanies of Dark Angels over Zealot. So he would have the unique modifier.

doesnt Litanies of the dark angels do the exact same thing as the inner circle rule? Seraphicus actually plays exactly the same as if you just bought an interrogator chaplain with a plasma pistol. and they are the same price as well if im not mistaken.

Interrogator Chaplain:
Inner circle - Fearless and prefered enemy chaos marines
Zealot - Fearless again and Hatred
plasma pistol

Seraphicus
Litanies of the dark angels - essentially prefered enemy chaos marines
fearless
plasma pistol.

All they are saying is that to run Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus you just take a interrogator chaplain with a PP.

Yeah, it's essentially just an official house rule.

Am I thick or can I just not find the Zealot rules anywhere in the Dark Angels codex or in the rulebook?

Very confused! I've checked all the dark angels special rules, the chaplain pages, the special rules in the rulebook!

Edit: lmao I was reading 5th edition rulebook.
