I am trying to write up an Imperial Guard list with Blood Angel allies at 1750 points. The army I will most often be fielding this against will be Chaos Space Marines.

HQ
Company Command Squad, Power Fist, Plasma Pistol, 2 Melta Guns, Company Standard and Vox in Chimera 170

Troops
Platoon Command Squad with 2 Missile Launchers 60
Infantry Squad with Vox and Flamer in Cimera 115
Infantry Squad with Vox and Flamer in Chimera 115
Heavy Weapons Team with 3 Missile Launchers 90
Veteran Squad with Power Fist, 6 Shotguns and 3 Melta Guns 115

Fast Attack
Valkyrie 100

Heavy Support
Leman Russ Battle Tank 150
Leman Russ Battle Tank 150

HQ
Librarian with Jump Pack 125
Sanguine Sword and Blood Lance

Elites
Furioso Dreadnought 125

Troops
10 Assault Marines with Power Fist, 2 Melta Guns 235

Heavy Support
Stormraven with Multi-Melta and Lascannon 200

The Chimeras would move up together, to pick up objectives and tackle less powerful foes
The Stormraven takes the Dreadnought, the Valkyrie takes the Vets, they zip in and are dropped in front of the vehicles and heavy stuff.
The Platoon Command Squad and Heavy Weapons sit at the back, blow stuff up
Librarian and Assault Marines I am less happy with, any suggestions how they could be better? Otherwise they assault stuff and pop tanks.
Battle Cannons are there because they are great. Need I say more?

As for why power fists on the Guardsmen? Well, I chuck those on mostly because it is a personal preference. Also, have you ever seen the face of someone whose Sergeant does nothing in a challenge, rolling so badly their Sergeant cannot kill yours, and your Sergeant responds with two S6 Ap2 hits? And kills their Sergeant? Hilarity ensues.

Anyway, any pointers would be much appreciated, is there any gaping holes in the list, and tactics that people think would be great? In particular I am not sure about the Librarian and Assault Marines, they feel out of place here. Is there anything that would be better?
Any help or constructive criticism is much appreciated

I dont know if the furioso Dred will work because close combat kills walkers like it was nothing,
I would go with maybe a priest to give the guys FNP

Walkers like it nothing?, av13 on front ignores krak nades, plasma is 6 to glance, if it has blood talons every unsaved wound it makes another attack, and its ws6. Pretty tough in combat!!!. But foot slogging it isnt the best as it will draw fire, granted it will be saving your russ's from taking that said fire but still,

I don't think you need those vox, your guys are in tanks. They need heavy weapons. Never give your commander a plasma pistol. If you get hot you just killed your warlord and you will likely never shot it much anyways.

Also, you can't take 2 missiles in a PCS only 1 is allowed and even then you don't want it. For 5 more pts you get a much better weapon.

If you are using a valkyrie you need rocket pods, that is a must. But if I were you I'd go with a Vendetta since you lack long range High strength weapons.

Dropping the 3 Vox Casters, one of the Missile Launchers from the PCS and the Plasma Pistol gives me enough points to swap out the Flamers on the Infantry Squads for Melta Guns, as well as take a Vendetta over a Valkyrie.

To be clear, the Furioso will be mounted in the Stormraven, so it won't be footslogging it up to the fighting. But I do agree that it will cop a lot of fire. Any suggestions on what to take to make it last a bit longer?

As for Blood Talons, great idea, I will amend that, Ap3 for the win

And the Stormraven actually has two twin linked lascannons, in your opinion does this tilt you more in favour of the Valkyrie with the rocket pods, or Vendetta? I am leaning towards the Vendetta

Thanks for all the help
