Hi All,
Could not find a relevant thread on Dakka so I thought I'd start a new one. I'm sure this has been discussed numerous times before....
Question: How Do You Paint Power Weapons, i.e. Swords, Axes?
There are so many versions out there, I'm not sure which is best, or even if I did know, I wouldn't know how to do it...
Thanks in advance for any advice given!
 Dom

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

What standard do you want them to? Normal metal with a blue wash will make them stand out from regular CCW's, but there are much more advanced techniques out there.

Are you looking to airbrush them or paint them with a brush?

I'd love a good airbrush recipe -- I can't seem to get anything other than 'fake looking airbrush' when I try it on weapons.

I've got no airbrush and neither do I have skills with an airbrush
I'm going good 'ol fashioned brushes...
I'm not entirely clear what I'm looking for to be honest. I've not seen enough examples. All I'm thinking about is trying to get the Power Sword's color scheme correct...

Thank Luka! This is great. I don't airbrush but I think I will copy some parts of that technique....
