That puts me on 253 and I'm looking to get up to around 500 what would you all reccommend...a couple of ents

Get the new eagles as they have a 12 inch movement, ignore control zones and they are defense 8.

yup, go with that and either give radagast some stuff (maybe a sled) or more woses warriors.

I don't know much about the wanderers in the wild but you need more boots on the ground otherwise you will be broken extremely quickly. I would max out every warband with woses and consider taking bullroarer took as a cheap hero after ghan buri ghan.

The only problem with more foot soldiers is if you come against an army with high defense and possible strength you could end up losing a lot of men yet more foot troops would be better for objective baseed games but for to the death eagles are extremly good as the have high fight, strength, defense and they cause terror. Basically they are trolls with wings and can take on multiple targets which is good when playing to the death.

What I mean is when two big armies meet there will be lots of 1v1 combats which you could lose but with a smaller force you can spread your units apart making harder for the person you are playing against to get into those combats but by using creatures like eagles you can pick off difficult characters or foes and secure the victory points needed to win.

Only problem with eagles is they don't fit the forest theme I was going for
