I've recently been hankering to put together an albion army. GW doesn't make many albion-related minis. I think they do a truthsayer, and a fenbeast, and that's pretty much it. There is a pretty good albion fan-dex out there, and I've been through it, looking for inspiration. Having trawled the interwebs, I've found a range of minis which I think fits the theme pretty well.

The miniatures below are from a game called celtos. I have a number of issues to 'fix' however. First up, some tester models for the swordmaidens:

Issues with these models are that the swords are entirely crap. I'm going to try and get some dark eldar swords, which have a nice shape to them, and I think they'll fit in with the Celtic theme quite well. In addition, there are only these three models plus a champion, so it's going to be tough to create an interesting unit of ten! I will maybe bulk them out with models from other ranges. Plan is for lots of bare flesh with blue tattoos everywhere.

Woad raiders:

Again, the plan is for lots of bare flesh and Celtic tattoos. Men in kilts! In warhammer! Similar issue to the swordmaidens in that there are only a few models in the range, so it will be tough, particularly as I'll be going for twenty of them. I think their poses will make it a little easier to convert them though.

Just playing around with this at the moment. Thought it would be nice to have a project that is a little different to my other armies - they are mostly vanilla, with very little converting going on.

To give a sense of scale, the pic below puts them between an elf and a gobbo. I think they are around the right size.
