I have a 2 Land Speeder squadron, and a single Land Speeder with different loadouts, but I wanted your opinions on whether squadrons or single speeders are better. I like the idea of a squadron with the same loadout as it gives less VPs away and allows more models, but individual speeders can move and shoot more independently. Thoughts?

Per the FAQ each vehicle in a squadron that is abandoned it is worth a separate victory point, so you're not saving any VP there

For me it generally comes down to points and FA slots. With the new DA codex I'll be fielding squadrons because I don't have the FA slots to run them individually.

Before the new codex I ran two Speeders every game separately. When they're not squaded you have the option of still running them together, or splitting to deal with targets.

In the end it always comes down to which compliments the rest of your list best, do you need focused fire and/or more FA slots or do you need flexibility

Generaly single slots are better unless you need the FOC for other stuff, Gives a lot more flexability.

Squadrons do have the added bonus in 6th of juggeling hull points (take 2 off the front speeder and then place the full hp one in front.

Dont speeders only have 2HP to start with? Makes "Juggling" them pretty situational.

Yep. I was thinking about running a squadron with one or two cheap ones in front to eat the first hits as well as flatout for the better save if i felt they were gonna get targeted. Key is to have higher priority threats in their face that must be dealt with.

People who stopped buying GW but wont stop bitching about it are the vegans of warhammer
