Please watch your language, as some may take offense. Also, it is against the forum's rules to post rules.

Seeing as it's against forum rules to post rules...

Also, "learning by playing" without owning a rule book is an incredibly stupid idea honestly. Any dishonest guy can swing the game in his favor by teaching you wrong. He also has around 3,000 points of Space Marines/Some form of MeQ judging from his signature so I would think he would own a rulebook by now

ALSO, it's a pretty simple answer to a pretty simple question. Read page 109 of the rulebook. Bang. There is the answer. However, I can say that a quick search on google *may* lead to some clearer, non BRB results

A) It is against forum policy to anything other than vaguely say "yes" or "no" and point to the page in the BRB.
B) Learning by playing? I have never met anyone who thought they could pick up the game without a rulebook. Frankly, that would just be dumb. There is far too much minutia.

That's actually how I got into the game back in 3rd edition, as I couldn't afford a rulebook at the time. It took me 3 months to save up enough allowance money for a single box of Dire Avengers, so I chose to spend my money on models instead.

Fortunately, I played with a group of people who seemed to be generally honest, but I still made plenty of mistakes. For example, after playing against an Ork player who used Burna Boyz, I assumed that the special thing Burnas do in melee was something that all flamethrower weapons did, that I just hadn't known about before, and acted accordingly with my Space Marines. Took a while before someone corrected me on that one.

But yeah, generally it is a good idea to have the rulebook, to look up rules for yourself. ^_^
