As a modelling challenge to myself I will be creating a Nob Biker army this year between 1500 and 2000 points. Now due to the amount of helldrakes in my meta they may have trouble winning some games but formalities right?

Anyway apart from the two Warbosses and their Nob Biker possies, what kind of units do synergise well with Nob bikers? I am myself leaning towards dakkajets and units of big guns/lootas, but cannot seem to think of anything else that would work well.

Thoughts Dakka?

You have the right idea...

IF you like bikers... I'd go with a squad of grots behind an ADL with quad-gun... then put either large squads of Lootas and/or Kannons behind the ADL.

I'd go with one squad of nob bikers... then rest, trukk boyz or small units of warbkers (with Wazzie).

There's a lot of configurations you can tinker with here...

Oh yeah, forgot about grots on an aegis, will definately add that to the list. I thought about trukk boys as well but I dunno they feel... I guess bland (model wise) although I can absolutely see how they would work into a nob biker list.

I have plenty of time to mull it over though as I won't be starting till the end of January at the earliest.

Also consider deffkoptas and buggies... those work really well in biker lists.

Well I got heaps of Deffkoptas lying around, like 9 I think, so they should be easy to fit into the list.

You have options, but an ADL with grots is a solid choice, from there you could take shoota boy mobs, dakkajets, 30 Lootas for the ADL 3x10 so they can GTG. Deffkoptas are also a solid choice for some ranged tank hunting, I played against a similar list with 2x Dakkajets and that absolutely destroyed me.

When ever you build a list you need to start with good core you then need ask yourself. What is this list lacking and then you need to fill in the weak spots.

So what would you need if your core was a squad or two of nob bikers. What are nob bikers good at. What would make the nob bikers better.

Fisrtly this one is easy. A Warboss. He makes a squad of them Troops so he's in

Secondly what can't Nob bikers do or what do they do poorly. They can't deal will AV12 flyer and are only average with AV10-11 Flyers. What in the Ork dex can deal with flyer resonable well. Lootas and Quad guns are pretty good they are a must.

Thirdly what else are they poor at dealing with or better off leaving sonething else to deal with. AV13-14, the Nobs can do the job but do you really want to commit them or something worth less points. I'd go with some of less value and in the ork dex the best thing for the job is a PK. So ensure you have pleanty of PK's elsewhere in your list that can be delievered to your foe if needed.

And lastly what don't they bring to your list. The answer to this is bodies. Get some boots on the ground to take and deal out punishment.
