Test figure for a squad of 10. This is my first pre-heresy marine. Went with a very dark green. The 'white' is a basecoat of Rotting Flesh layered over with Reaper Polished Bone, in case anyone is curious.

I like it. Nice amount of gore without making me wonder what creature outside of a biotitan could have so much inside them. I also like your dark green especially. Consider it stolen . One critique, the brass edging on the pauldrons seems barely different from the green in the back. I prefer it to be a little more distinct, but it's your model. Nice job.

Imagination land

Apart from the static pose (especially for an assault marine) it's very nicely done. Especially the base.

I primed the figures Rustoleum Dark Green (camo line). Vallejo Reflective Green is a good match for it and then it gets a wash of Nuln Oil. I think the brass edging shows up better in real life, but to be honest, the shoulder pad trim on the Mk IV is pretty narrow, but I think a highlight of brass + gold might make it stand out more. Good point.

Glad to help. Hope to see more of your Death Guard.

I'm calling the squad done. Time to move on.

The Betrayl book shows the Deathguard MK IV with what looks like a MK III pauldron, which is what i am going with as the MK IV ones are boring really. i have a tone left over from my MK III kits anyway, just a thought if you do another squad.

It looks pretty good. I agree on the waayy too static of poses for a bucn of gorey chainsaw-wielding assault marines that are supposed to be choppin heads off, not waiting in line for StarWars: Episode 7.

And the contrast between the shoulders and backpack with the rest of the model kinda throws it off a little. If you light up the packs/pauldrons or darken the white areas a little, it would look perfect.
