Psychic Prisoner aboard a Black Ship

Hello, Im a new GK player and I would love some advice for my 750 points which I will be using in an incoming game. I know I only have 1 troop but my opponent said the limit was one troop choice, please note this when you are commenting.

Inquisitor Coteaz - 100pts
Grey Knight terminator squad x5 w/ 2 daemon hammers, 2 falchions, 1 halberd - 210pts
Land Raider Crusador - 255
Nemesis DreadKnight w/ Heavy PsyCannon, nemesis greatsword - 190

Total : 750pts

Feel free to post your thoughts and change the list.

When I was 4 years old my mother told me the key to life was happiness, when I went to school my teacher told me to write what I wanted to be when I grow up, I wrote down "happy". The teacher told me I didn't understand the task and I told her that she didn't understand life.

A few things to think about.

1) GK units are not pure assault units. They are mostly shooting units.

While the GK units have force weapons, they are not that great in assault. Compare GK terminators to TH/SS terminators

GK units are best shooting for several turns with Storm Bolters and Psycannons and then you mop up whatever is left with your above average combat ability.

2) Land Raiders are not that great for GK

First off, Land Raiders die very quickly to certain weapons. Melta, Lance, Haywire and Gauss will kill a LR very quickly.

In a 750 point game, you may not encounter those weapons.

3) I think that you would like a Heavy Incinerator better than a Heavy Psycannon on the knight.

No scatter and ignores cover saves makes it a very powerful anti-infantry weapon.

It looks like your list is for fun and I applaud that! However I have a few suggestions. An Ordo Malleus Inquisitor with terminator armor, a psycannon, and the psyker upgrade is an amazing HQ. Coteaz is good but without henchmen I think the inq is a better buy. Also land raiders rarely make their points back. I've seen them immobilize themselves too many times (as this edition has quite a bit of terrain). I'd try something like this.
HQ-OMI, TDA, psycannon, psyker 1 (prescience) 110pts
Troop- terminator squad, x2 psycannons, psybolt ammo 470
Heavy- NDK, HI 160

It isn't nearly an uber compatible list but it would be REALLY fun to play especially on a small table. You could also drop the DK and the termies psybolt ammo and get some purifiers or interceptors. Both have great uses and are fun. I prefer interceptors with psycannons myself.

Either way have fun with it and welcome to the knights of Titan!

I'd lose the banner and one pair of falcions and get another psycannon.

Hi, I split up the termies into 2 squads and I added 1 psycannon. I then realized I had 10 points left, Im not sure what I should spend them on, so i will give my DK and daemon hammer, please tell me if you have any better Idea

I wouldn't bother with the hammer as the only benefit you're getting from it is the concussive rule. Drop the falchions off your terminators and use the points to invest in a nemesis great sword.

Also, keep swords on your justicars in case you get locked in a challenge with someone with an ap2 weapon. Most ap2 weapons are unwiedly, fortunately, but having a 4++ in CC against them is nice.

your two terminator units appear to be identical, yet they have different point costs?

Also I am not fan of Falcions.

If you want damage, then Daemonhammers are the way to go. With AP2 and S8, you will do more damage than falcions.

If you want durability, you have 2 choices:
A sword gives you durability against AP2 weapons, with a 4++ save. You will still hit first against most AP2 weapons even with INT4.
A Halberds gives you protection against hordes of low AP attacks. With INT 6 you can hit first and kill models before they swing back.

The Falcion deals less damage than a Hammer, and has no benefits for durability like the Sword or Halberd. It is simply worse.
Then add on the fact that you are paying more points for it as well, and it goes from bad to awful.

I would trade the Falcions for any of the other weapons.

Servo skulls are good utility. You can deny prime location for scouts or Infiltrators. If you want to deep strike something, you have some areas with less scatter.

Maybe you could master craft the Justicar's weapons for more damage in challenges.

Looks good to me.
I personally use 2 hammers / 2 halberds / 1 sword in a 5 man terminator squad (psycannon has a hammer), but that is really a preference thing.

Yes @luide, I was thinking about that too but since I know im playing against tau and that he will spam the vehicles, I just preferred taking more of those hammers. Thanks for the comment though
