Here's an interesting blast from the past. An Assault Lance by Ral Partha done in plastic. I have to say I am not too impressed by then considering today's standards but i bet they were the new hotness back in the late 80's when they came out. I am also just thankful that the only marauder in the battalion I am painting for a friend is in this group. I have never been able to get one of those things together in metal.

Nice find. Many Battletech collectors would pay good money for those.

Those actually aren't half bad.

Oh wow. Awesome find! If I can ever snag some legitimate Unseen I'd probably consider them the crown jewels of my miniature collection.

The battalion I am doing for my friend has a lot of unseens in it. He also did pay good money for those. They came in a lot of 8 lance boxes from that ere... all new. He dropped something like $600 for them.

Did he get any Archers? I have a lot of the Unseens myself, but only in metal, but I'm always looking for more Archers.

I have most of the set of the "unseen 20" from the Battletech books, and they look great in person. These are neat because the Battlemaster and the Warhammers are not hex-based.

They, like all the lance packs have the metal hex bases to glue them onto. I didn't include those in the photo though... My bad.

@ DeathwingCrusader... yeah... there are 2 archers in the 40 mechs I am doing in this lot. He has about 5 or six more unseen archers.

Get him to e-mail or PM me so we can strike a deal. I have over 150 Unseens including LAMs and dozens of old BattleDroids (the very first incarnation of BattleTech). I have tons of original Thunderbolts, Griffins, Valkyries, Wolverines, Shadow Hawks, Scorpions, etc. I can send close-up pics to prove they're originals and not recasts if he'll do the same. I'd like as many Archers as he'll part with and three Riflemen.

I'm also friends with the guy Fallen is talking about.
He has like a Division of Battlemechs. Really.
Something like 500-600 mechs or so.
He has at least one, if not multiple, battalions of Unseen.

We started BT gaming together back in the mid 80's. He never stopped collecting them.

I'll have him put together a list and get some pictures.

Thanks. I've also been playing since the 80's. I hope I have something he wants.

Oh, and by the way, those blue 'Mechs AREN'T plastic. They are a very weird type of resin.

Thread is bringing back some memories. Battletech was my introduction to mini gaming. I started around 1994. I remember all the plastics and blue resins mentioned. t my peak I had over 120 mechs, including many unseens.

My mate's familly and mine were always playing battletech when we were both young. That's how we met really. We've since inherited a rather massive collection of 100s of mechs. Quite a few unseens are among them. We have a ton of Warhammers and Riflemen but we have a number of other designs. Most of our marauders are in various states of disrepair sadly. One of these days I'll get everything organized.

My first mech was a Thunderbolt btw. To this day I still love them.

Someone once told me this about Porsche Panameras:
"There are two Panamera's in my hood. Visual pepper spray. When Jesus was on the cross and cried out "Father, why have you forsaken me?" it wasn't because of the whole crucifixion, it was because he foresaw the design of the Porsche Panamera."
You learn something new everyday.

This thread is making me very glad I didn't sell my old BT mechs. I've got about 75 mechs. Even though most are plastic and many are from the current box set (bought on a whim), it's nice to have all the unseen plastics from the mid 90's game box set.

Not the most amazing quality, but good enough for 6mm, and they'll surely be fun to paint. Of course that will wait until I've got a game I actually want to play. Battletech doesn't come close , there don't seem to be many folks around here wanting to play quickstrike, and I've already got massive 10mm forces made for Mech Attack.

Wow, yea I have a few of those plastic mech's floating around. About half my paltry collection is made from those; picked them up at a convention in the early 90's really cheap, and the primed up nice. Unfortunately my painting skills were not really up to the task!
