Hey folks im a bit stuck as what paint to get.

i live to far away from any modeling shop that sells paints, so am seeking advice.

my partner has just started up a hive fleet kraken force, and stuck on the colour of the skin.

so far i have been using khemri brown (now discontinued ) and mixing my way up to about 25 khemri to 75 bleached bone.

As there is alot of gants and guant i will end up painting, im looking for three colours that would be a good substitue. preferably from the vallejo brand, one base, a mid tone, and a not too bright final layer. i will be doing some highlights in bleached bone.

cheers for any advice guys and gals.

Colour choice is down to you, but I would recommend using a single colour for the base rather than mixing. If you're painting 50-60 models as a minimum for Nids having to mix paint every time will be a massive pain. Either that or have lighter/darker shades depending on the size of the model.

With Nids, washes are your friend. Base coat, wash, reapply base cost, highlight.

I mean ive been using khemri brown as the base, then mixing bone with khemri to get the next shade up, sorry the question is very wordy...

i am wanting to stop mixing and just have three colours, preferably kehmri as the base, with the next colour a bit lighter, then the last colour darker than bleached bone.

does anybody know what colours are the equivilent of 75:25 khemri : bone, and 25:75 Khemri : bone ???
