Subject: Tor Gaming's Relics Reinforcement Kickstarter
Well Tor's new KS is up for Relics. Interesting bit on how they did it, you pledge in a certain category and then buy from a list of items with that pledge amount plus a discount depending on the tier
Do remember, folks: while the pledge rewards might seem a bit meh now - that was the case on their IGG project last summer as well, initially.
Gavin is asking for feedback on stretch goal rewards now (I'd say get that done before starting the project - but there's something to be said for community involvement as well ) and going by past events, it'll probably be rather worthwhile in the end.

We already have the stretch goals sorted, we are asking for feedback on additional stuff that we could either include in the pre-determined stretch goals or as extra mini goals etc.
The stretch goals will add more unsculpted miniatures to the shopping lists. If we go all the way, then we will sculpt all the outstanding miniatures from the rulebook. If it goes beyond that, we will be adding new profiles! Britanan Cannon anyone?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Opps, seems I managed to screw up the price lists!
Fear not, nothing has gone up in price. I actually forgot to update them to include prices for those backers outside the EU as they shouldn't be paying VAT! (Yes, we are even observing VAT on Kickstarter, shocking hey!)
I have now uploaded new shopping lists to project that show the prices for backers in and outside the EU.
Cheers, and sorry about that!
Gavin

Wonderful news! I must admit living in the states makes me feel a bit guilty that VAT doesnt usually apply
Oh and initial funding goal hit. Time for some stretches
I am in it for all the Nuem. I wish I had more for the other factions. I know I said that in the first Indiegogo Project and ended up getting all of the factions. We'll see how it ends up.

Ronny posted a comment on the Relics Reinforcements project about the project seeming to stall slightly and maybe the stretch goals are a little too large a lump to get over. The suggestion is maybe we should look at smaller one.
Firstly, I agree 100% with him on that. We do need smaller ones. The reasoning behind how they are at the moment is that I didn’t want any faction (and therefore players who only play that faction) to be left out of a stretch goal excitement. This means that each stretch goal has to serve all four factions.
I can put in smaller stretch goals too for things like counters etc, but when we come back to the model stretch goals, we hit the same issue. For example, if we added smaller stretch goals too, we would end up with a scenario like (numbers are just an example):
Stretch1: +£3000
Stretch 2: +£1000
Stretch 3: +£3,000
Stretch 4: +£1,000
Stretch 5: +£3,000
So, those large target are still in there and will still be an issue on momentum.
What I am now going to do is ask you lot the following question:
“If I broke the model based stretch goals down so they contain models for two factions, would you be pissed off if you faction is not in the next target?”
Consider this though, by doing this, each model based stretch goal would drop in target by half! So, the current stretch target would drop from £6250 to £4625. That would put us only £508 (at time of writing this) off the next target.
That target would be for the Britanan Puppeteer and the Orcnar Ealdmoder. After then, the new target would be the current £6250 and will add the Nuem Domini and Vaettir Vaelad.
Let me know what you think. I am happy to break them down like this if it means momentum continues BUT only if you guys are happy!
One thing to remind you about though, this projects main aim is to produce more models. Not to produce counters, dice, t-shirts, Relics branded pet food bowls etc etc. Whilst I am looking into stuff like counters etc as nice little sweeteners for people to get, the main aim of this project is the sculpts and that is where my eye is on this.
Right, I have made some changes. the first stretch goal has been broken down into four stretch goals - this means the new first stretch goals has already be achieved! The Nuem Domini!!
Then the older second stretch goal has been broken down into two stretch goals. After that, we will see how it goes.
Here is the new graphics to show how it is broken down
I will be adding some pre-set reward options for people who are new to the game that will be pre-defined 200 point armies as a easier way for them to get involved.

300pt armies are now on the shopping list on the project. These are really to enable people with no experience of Relics to be able to get into it without worrying about what to get.
Decided on 300 instead of 200 as it gives more variety but is still a great core to build on.
300pt Britanan Army
1 CSM, 1 Guard, 9 Troopers, 1 Colour Party, 2 Dragoons, 1 Marksmen, 3 Grenadiers (plus one additional marksmen as they are packed in pairs)
It's just £106 to go until we unlock the Britanan Puppeteer (above).
And just to give all our backers a preview of what is coming in the way of new profiles beyond the book, when we hit the target for the Orcnar Ealdmoder, we will release to all backers profiles for the Britanan Horse Master, Orcnar Rhiro, Vaettir Wardhor and Nuem Brazen Bull.

Just in case you were wondering how Relics plays but don't have the time to read then play a game, you can check out this game play video (it has cake too!)

And not only that, but we actually have a little sculpting WiP to show ya! You have no idea how pleased I am to actual post an update that has a little progress in it!
Kev has sent me a couple of pics, the first is of some progress on the Nappa:
Ahhhhhhhhh..... What cute little buggers they are!
Then we also have a WiP of the first of damage counter base inserts. This one if for the Vaettir players out there:
These damage markers will be the first freebie!
I'm not 100% sure of quantity yet, but I am thinking of 5 per pack and any pledge level of THE MARKSMEN! or above will get a pack of damage markers for the faction of their choice for free!!

Kev has sent though another WiP of the Nappa. More detail work done and the blobs for arms have been added!
I believe he has also been working on the Britanan Bomber, but no pics of that little blighter yet!
Also, if you are one of the folks that won't/can't use KS for what ever reason and want an alternative way to support the project and get access to the models way before they are released, you can do so by visiting this page and back the project using paypal.
Whilst you can buy these in blister packs for each faction (£5 for a blister of 4 markers), depending on your reward, you may get a few counters included for free:
Dragoon Reward: 1 damage marker of your choice
Marksmen Reward: 2 damage markers of you choice
Highlander Reward or above: 3 damage markers of your choice
We have also added new Relics T-Shirts to the price lists too for £12 each.
Quick question for you, Gav - any chance of providing a breakdown of how many points of each faction you got if you backed the Relics IGG, assuming that all your choices were to select models for the same faction?

Yep, just gone through it and this is what you would have got:
It'd be a lot easier and handy if we had just the one thread.

Ahh, sorry, I may be causing confusion! Nothing new there....
This thread is about the Relics Reinforcements Kickstarter. It will contain only updates and answers to questions about the Kickstarter and nothing else.
The thread you have linked to is a news thread about a new set of rules I have just made available in a early Alpha stage called Relics War which is a set designed for mass battles set in the Relics world. I may have caused confusion by mentioning in the other thread that as the game system is 100% compatible with the Relics range, the KS is an ideal place to pick up a Relics War army at a great price.
Maybe I should have made it clearer, I apologise for the confusion.
if you get 5 minutes then an edited first post(s) might be handy.

I've edited to other threads subject to make it more generic TG news and also edited to the first post to include a line to say the thread is a single, latest news type thread for all our products.
