Subject: 1780 British LW Infantry Company (rulebook list)

Since my local meta is 1780, I made up a quick list just to see if my thinking is on the right track with the British...
HQ:
Rifle Company HQ (2 Rifle/MG teams)
Combat Platoons:
3 Full Rifle Platoons (total of 18 Rifle/MG teams, 3 PIAT teams, and 3 Light Mortar teams)
Weapons Platoons:
Anti-Tank Platoon (4 OQF 6 pdr guns)
Brigade Support:
Full Machine Gun Platoon (4 Vickers)
Full Heavy Mortar Platoons (4 Heavy Mortars, the 4.2" ones)
Divisional Support:
2 Armored Platoons (total of 6 Shermans and 2 Fireflys)
Heavy AT Platoon (4 OQF 17 pdr guns)
Parachute Rifle Platoon (3 Squads, 2 Rifle/MG each alongside the command rifle/mg team. Also has a mortar and bazooka team)
Total comes out to 1775. My plan is to have the AT, Mortar, and MG platoons hold home areas supported by the US Paras, while the tanks work as an offensive element, and the Brit Infantry working alongside the tanks in "urban" areas, taking out AT guns, and as an overall offensive element all the while being able to pull back and help the Para's/Guns out when needed (that's why I have 3 platoons, to give me flexibility)
Never made a Brit list, or even an Infantry list honestly so let me know how things work hahaha

I realise that you have the paras already but I personally wouldn't use them and I think that the points would be better spent on some carriers and some 25 pounders.
Aside from that its a perfectly fine list.
I would also seriously suggest that you use the 51st Highland Div .pdf list (its on easy army) for cheap veteran troops. They are reluctant but the British Bulldog and the cautious, not stupid rules counteract most of the drawbacks.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.
-Leman Russ, Meditations on Imperial Command book XVI (AKA the RT era White Dwarf Commpendium).
Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Carriers! That's what I forgot. I had points left over and im like "Hmm, I guess I could get the paras". I never added recon....ok thanks hahaha
I would use the 51st Highland, but I actually have some bad-blood in my family involving the 51st haha

The Seaforth Highlanders were my Clan's regiment.

I'd drop the heavy anti Tank personally, I've used 17pdrs, they're so static many people can avoid them, if you're playing defensive, the enemy has to come to you so 2 platoons of 6pdrs i've found to be more effective
I'd go for something like this (if i was doing brit infantry)
