There are a lot of laser cut buildings on the market today. The problem is that none are "exactly" what I'm looking for. So, rather than force an oval peg into a round hole, I was wondering if there were any plans out there for making buildings out of wood? I'm talking about stuff like those coffee stirrers you get at Starbucks being used at 2x4s and so on. I guess the closest to what I'm looking at is either those guys who build model railroad buildings from scratch or doll house construction.

As for my specific effort, I'm wanting to make buildings for Malifaux that have a Baton Rouge "French Quarter" look to them. Any sort of tutorial, blueprints, instructions, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Think you better check some architectural archive for this kind of info or just check papercraft sites and transfer it to the wood.

This page might help: http://www.terrainthralls.com/Tutorials%20folder/Tutorials.html

As I don't know the exact look/design of what you're after, but you did mention wooden structures, perhaps I could point you to these three specific tutorials, to hopefully get you started in some way.

Try Matakishi's Tea House site. He builds a lot of terrain projects.

For wargame purposes the buildings need to be "stylised" and won't follow architectural plans.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
