In the Genestealer box sprue there is an odd tentacle filled blob like organism, what is it? Could it be a burrowed mycetic spore? PLEASE ANSWER!

Way, way, way, way too small. Most people use it as an objective. For a mycetic spore, you're looking for something big enough to fill a 60mm base.

GW have no mycetic spore model, but there's plenty of alternatives. I use this.

You might be able to use them as spore mines.

Those are just extra bits. Using them as Objectives is a good idea.

Spore pods are much bigger, a friend of mine uses these, they are about the same size as a Drop Pod.
