Currently I play vanilla marines and also have a couple of guard. As far as things go I think my marines are pretty conventional in focussing on the short range fire fight. So the plan is to make an allied attachment of IG to give some long range fire support and to cover any gaps there may be.

The hope with this is that it can give me some longer range anti-tank and deal to any MEQs in cover, also it forms a nice home objective holder. Its to ally to a 1000pts marine army at the moment to bring it to 2000 overall.

Drop the melta they have to bad Bs for them. I preffer grenade launcher, flamer and also prob sniper over melta/plasma

3 Colossi are overkill, drop their numbers to two, they will already wipe most MEQ units they'll be shooting at
I wouldn't put Lascannons and Meltaguns at the same time either, but both are equally impacted by the BS3, so take either one of the two I'd say, but not both

You might want to take a flyer with the points from the colossus, especially if you lack anti-air (and stick a cheap squad in there for late objective-grabbing)
