I've decided to give my chaos dreadknight/dreadnought a chainaxe halberd like the rest of my army. The chainaxe will be made up of two ironclad chainfists put together but the question I have is what would make a good sized bolter/bolt pistol sized weapon to be integrated into the chainaxe head? I was thinking of maybe an autocannon cut down but i'm not sure. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

I would think a heavy bolter would be a dreadnought sized bolt pistol

edit: actually i think it may work better with a storm bolter with the front barrel altered to heavy bolter size caliber.

If you hit up eBay, you might be able to find some of the old Inquisitor models. Since they were made for a much larger scale, you might be able to find a much bigger bolt pistol. I've seen Inquisitor figs used to make Daemon Princes, and it usually turns out pretty sweet.

GW did actually make a very large scale Bolt Pistol as a keyring (made from pewter). There's a few floating around on eBay ATM.

thanks for the ideas, I really like the keyring boltpistol but I'm not sure I'd be willing to cut it up. I'm thinking either that or the heavy bolter looks like it could work.
