2 vindicators-230 (favorite tank in the game....so I want to keep them)

So the plan is simple or i think it will be, March the vindicators up with the razorback with a five man squad and rune priest inside. Mean while two drop pods will fall in first turn behind them. The idea for the third with the plasma is to either drop somewhere that is needing help or to grab a close ish objective cheers (PS as to my 100 post of different space marine armies i think i have went with space wolves cheers!)

I know taking the Flamer to get the free Plasma-Gun or Melta-Gun sounds good, but it reduces the Grey Hunters effectiveness. Now each pack is a Jack of Trades, Master of None. If you want Melta-Guns get 2 in each Pack, these will double your chance of hitting. As for the Plasma Gun Pack go for either 2 Flamers or 2 Plasma, I would go with the twin Plasma Guns. If you need points drop the Pods or the Razorback Grey Hunters and get yourself some MotW and/or Wolf Standards.

I agree 2 same weapon in each squad I like vinbicator but against 14v aren't good that LF specialty

"Listen closely Brothers, for my life's breath is all but spent. There shall come a time far from now when our Chapter itself is dying, even as I am now dying, and our foes shall gather to destroy us. Then my children, I shall listen for your call in whatever realm of death holds me, and come I shall, no matter what the laws of life and death forbid. At the end I will be there. For the final battle. For the Wolftime."Leman Russ

Well against armor 14 i have the meltas to land on. But my question is how to free up ten or fifteen points to fit the extra guns?

Drop the 5 man hunter squad, take another vindicator, then slightly reduce the number on one squad and drop that squad on an objective in your deployment zone, you then have 3 vindis and 3 drop podding squads, composition wise i would go double melta on one, double plasma on another and single plasma on the 3rd

I'm not sure what your vindicators will shoot at once the pods land? For me vindicators are great for a gunline army, but not so good in combo with drop pods.

Its better to burn out than to fade away

Yeah, i do think it probably works better in a fairly static army list, they would probably just get left behind with your hunters podding in

I would go pod with long fangs or gunline with vindicators

Yeah that is very true. I don't want large blasts on my hunters hahha. So should I take three vindicators and three rhinos and do a slow push to them?? Or what could work better with hunters poding in?

If you use pods, take long fangs instead of vindicators.

If you want vindicators, exchange all of your rhinos for an ADL.

There is a fair amount of IG players at my local store, and quite honestly there tank lines scare me.... Would that out shoot them then? I figured dropping pods on them would really though that off (I mainly play orks ;D)

I find that Drop Pod Plasma Guns do the job well. The pods get you behind the Tanks and the Plasma will chew through rear armor, then Power Fist/Krak Grenades can finish up anything else. most guard SPA and some tanks are vulnerable to Bolt Guns in the rear.
