Good day to you all!

I am a newborn as of Warhammer 40k and want to make an Army of Space Orkz. I've been reading forums and checking new rules and FAQ but keep struggling at making my Army List.
As you can see i am trying to make a foot-horde army, it is still need a lot of tweaks and i know it, but i would really appreciate your help, like: should i swap big mek and get another warboss, and expand an army with more Nobs (troop choice) or make Big Mek and army general and pick Deff Dread (as troop choice), not to mention about storboyz..

Hello!

Good kits on the HQs!

Most people will tell you to drop the mek out of the lootas, me being one. Poor synergy and overcosted. 24" shooting doesn't mesh well with 72" shooting.

Drop every single ammo runt out of the nobz. Flamers hit automatically if you land the template on the enemy. They are literally worthless in that unit as is.

The best part about Nobz is power klaws. Big choppas are pretty lame in 6th. I'd drop all the big choppas for a couple of power klaws and leave the other nobz with normal choppas.

If you're going to take a trukk, take at least 3. 1 trukk is going to get blown up turn 1 guaranteed. If you're going footy orks, forget all the transports and hug your big mek. Only 1 model from each unit needs to be within 6" of the mek for the cover save.

Got your point about lootas and nobz.
As of truck: i've picked it just to speed up sluga&choppa boyz to speed up to the front line (will try to keep it out of LoS)

What about rest of the army? I am free to expand army to 2k points if it will be better or something even thou it will be harder to start playing

Problem with the trukk is if you don't get to go first, your opponent will have it exploded 9/10 times.

If you're going on foot, get so many boyz that your side of the table is full. Big gunz are a great, super cheap way of getting some rokkit shots. Deffkoptas are great because they can flank in from the table sides and pop tanks/heavy infantry.

Dakkajets are fun, but most people will tell you lootas are more efficient in an all-foot list.

Okey, i see your point. Is there any way to combine two type of forces? like bring dakkajets to replace lootas or add some deff dreads..
I am not that stubborn about all-foot list, would be great to be able to have a backbone force and then free to swap additional units like brind deffkoptas for five games then skip 'em and bring deff dreads (loosing speed but gain firepower and vise versa), i mean to have a backbone army with variation of units that will fit it just fine.

Problem we're seeing with kanz and deff dreads is hull points nerfed their survivability. Strength 5 weapons can glance them to death and it only takes 2/3 to do it. 5+ cover saves don't help enough against the sheer volume of str 5-7 shooting you see in sixth. Dreads have horrid ballistic skill, so their primary strength is getting into melee. Unfortunately they're pretty easy to kill before they get there. Kanz are a little better with BS3 rokkits, but armor 10 and 2 hull points is embarrassing.

Orks work best by finding the unit you like and spamming it. Don't just take 1 trukk. Take 4. Don't just take 1 dread or 3 kanz, take 8 (not as effective in this edition, I don't recommend walkers unless you absolutely want to use them).

I recommend you have at LEAST 60 boyz available for 1500+ point games. Most people will recommend 90. Boyz before toyz.

I run my lists with 3 battlewagons, 2 full of boyz and 1 group of nobz. I use a dakkajet and lootas in combination. The honest answer is that there really aren't a lot of bad choices in the ork codex, so find what models you like and get a zoggin' lot uv 'em!

If you're wanting a bit of variation, you could go with a kan wall style list. Granted they aren't that fantastic against some armies but can still be reasonable. I think that with alot of the ork vehicles being so light, you need a lot of redundancy to make them work. Hence a lot of opposition to fielding 1 trukk. The same would apply for going with walkers. You'd probably want to loose the warboss and get another mek so you can grab 2 deff dreds as troops. Then try and squeeze in 2 killa kan mobs. At the moment you've got an almost perfect split between speed and horde with your bikers and foot sloggers.
An example kan list for 1300 could be;

2 KFF big meks - 170

10 lootas - 150

2 deff dreds - 180
2 skorchas each, armour plates

2x3 killa kans - 300
rokkit launcha

3 kannons - 60

2x25 shoota boys - 400
2 big shootas, bp, pk nob

ADL - 50

One thing to look out for though is sometimes kans pop like flies. Could loose some for a dakkajet, but I was just trying to get a bit of redundancy in there.

edit; okay then its 1310, maybe loose a boy or two to trim it.

Okey, i see both of your points of view, thanks about that!

Here is roworked Army list and yes it is 1500 points limit, as i've said before i don't mind to expand it and i guess 1500 points limit is all okey for the most tournaments.
What do you think about slugga&choppa boyz and storm boyz, is it worth to bother and take 'em or just skip 'em for soething a lot more appropriate, like more warbikers or deff koptas or dakkajets?

You last list looks good! Except a couple of tweaks.

1. I find a small unit of only 10 stormboys gets shot up before it can do anything, and at such small numbers they are not fearless. Boss pole is a must if you insist on still taking them, but I would remove them.

2. You nobz unit could really use Eavy armor. That 4+ is actually quite good vs both shooting and in assault. Especially take it on the PK nobz as you want them to survive until they can hit.

3. Your army seems low on anti-vehicle. The only fast power klaws you have is the bikers. I'd add some Rokkit warbuggys instead of the stormboyz. Or possibly Killa kans with rokkitz.

Should do fine. I'd run all the boyz as shootas since they're all on foot though. 20 extra shots from 6 extra inches away is almost always better than MAYBE 20 extra attacks in CC (deaths from overwatch, higher intiative caused casualties, etc).

Make sure to use your bikes to go after hard vehicle targets, lootas to pop transports (may want to split them up into 2 blobs of 6 depending on how often you run into mechanized army lists). No real ranged anti-tank, but as long as you're strategically using your fast elements to target tanks, you should be fine. 4 scoring units is always good too.
