I have been thinking up a few list that include desperate allies. However, such builds come at a cost. Not having those troops scoring and the 6" I dont trust them rule can be pretty annoying.

Most notably I have been considering
IG/Crons
IG/DE
And a few others that I cant think if atm that help the other armies weakness

Thoughts on any you all have considered?

Having non-scoring, non-denial units seems like a points sink that you're probably not going to get back.
I've considered IG and Necrons too, simply because I was considering starting a necron army. However I couldn't stand the idea of buying troops that pretty much do nothing, especially if they're not outstanding.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

I could deal with the 6", or even non-scoring part, but making them non-denial units as well makes them a non-option for me.

It become that unit whereby if it doesn't make it's points back in kills, it's a complete waste. Not particularly nice for HQ and troops which aren't always particularly killy or points efficient.

Ya necrons can bring the cheapest flier in the game and with S5 weapons they can get dropped off behind or in the enemy lines. Kill them if you want I dont care at least I will do some damage to them with rapid fire. Also the annihilation barge is IMO the point for point heavy slot in the game for what you are getting.

I have also thought of a necron storm lord based army with a helldrake not caring if it was hit by lightning and a deepstrike csm lord with the burning brand. That is two torrent weapons to help kill enemy MEQ. Something I think necrons struggle with if your opponent cant make those 3+ saves. In addition, with cultist being only 50pts its not much of a point sink tax having them.
