So I've been playing and painting Infinity for quite some time now, and I've been collecting mostly Haqqislam models. In fluff, he's a genetically-enhanced super soldier fighting for Haqqislam--basically an Neo-Islamic version of Captain America.

Here's the thing: I dislike the model. It's aesthetically good but it's not what I have in mind. Doesn't scream Captain Haqqlislam to me (and yes, I'd like to add a round shield in my conversion). So I'm looking for a base model I can convert that has realistic 28mm or 3mm scale, a good sculpt, male and can reasonably be converted to look like a war superhero. Any help would be appreciated!

Which character are you looking to replace exactly?

Anyway as far as figures go if you want to stick with Infinity figures the Indigo Spec-ops figure http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2012/miniatures/indigo-spec-ops/ might be a good model to use as the base for a Captain Haqqislam. But as far as other product lines you can check out kabuki miniatures or reaper and see if you can spot anything that catches your eye.

haven't thought of the Indigo SpecOps before. and i can legally use it in tournaments since they're official proxies. The arm is perfect for a shield, and I may or may not put beard on him. Or maybe just stubble would do.
