Hi

Please can you let me know what you think of the below list.

Planning to put the chaos lord in the chosen unit and infiltrate them and Huron with the PM plasma unit which can also infiltrate if I roll high enough. The Defilers will use the rhinos as mobile cover. The cultists are there to keep any objectives on my side of the table.

thanks

Well, Defiler are too expensive for what they can achieve. I'd replace them with other HS units, like Vindicators or the new *Fiends.

I think the Defilers are still good. The 72" on the battle cannon (S8 AP3) is nice.

Comparing it to the forge fiend, the forge fiend can have 3 ectoplasma cannons at S8, AP2 which is better than 1 battle cannon at the same 200pts, but each ectoplasma cannon has a range of 36". That range does not matter as much since the forge fiend can move faster than the defiler, and it does not matter when the game is not hammer and anvil, or vangaurd.

If you have 2 defilers like I do, then I would try to field them as much as often as I can, because I have used 2 defilers for so long.

Finally someone else who realises how good pf/lc is on a lord. Its the same as 2 lightning claws, but you can either have 4 s8 ap2 attacks on i1 for termies or 4 shred s4 ap3 attacks hitting on i4. All for only 7 more pts than the double lightning claws. Sound like the ultimate all round cc build. It is truly take all comers.

Ectoplasm cannons are only 24" range

do you get the benefit of the pf/lc since they are both specialist weapons?
