Ive finally finished the first (of hopefully several) stand ins for pentitent engines in my Sisters of battle army.

I aimed for a JCB (mechanical digger) yellow with large amounts of weathering, hopefully ive got somewhere near. Let me know what you think:

Ive got plans for a few more so far, one with big "jaws-of-life", another with twin wrecking balls, and another with twin rock crushing drills.

Looks good for the most part, I really like how dynamic it is. My biggest bit of criticism is the roll cage bars. I think they should attach at the top of the square section in the corners rather than beside the poor sots head. Beyond that the stack extensions seem a little sloppy to me, considering how much the base model cost you may want to go back and touch those up to move it from being a good model to a great model.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

I think your completely right! its been trying to work out what was slightly bugging me this it, and its the chimney stacks and the roll cage....Ill have to see what i can do to rectify them. Thanks!

I like the look, and I like the weathering, but I think that there are a few areas where you might want to try neatening up some of your lines. It looks to me like some of the hazard stripes are a little uneven, and it appears like some of the black from the exhaust pipes dribbled down to pool at the bottom. That being said, I think your representation of industrial wear (particularly on the planes of the sawblades) is really good!

Thanks for the cc. I think the photo is playing a few tricks with model, especially the exhaust. The dribble you mention isn't there on the model, Ithink its a trick of light/shadow. Also a lot of the detail is lost on the upper stack, but as said above I'm not happy with it and I'm going to work on a replacement for it. But yeah the hazard strips could do with a few touches here and there.

I was happy with the wear on the cutting discs, I'm using AK weathering enamels, I can't recommend them enough, especially "streaking grime", "dust effects" and "rust streaks". Brilliant products and pretty easy to use too

Nicely posed. Paint job even better. Would love to see smoke coming out of the stacks though.

Great pose, very dynamic.

The replacement stacks and roll-cage greatly improve the model.

The thing looks like it has kicked over many walls in it's time... used and abused. Excellent.
