Went to a local Wargaming Convention, lots of Vendors and trades as well as a Flea market. I did a Cold War Demo game using my own custom rules for
FOW.
Anyway, I bought some items for our Big D-Day game in a Week or two, I have grabbed mainly terrain items but they are nice little additions to a table all in 15mm.
So today, I have prepared two Landing Craft Assault, and an LCM. I added some side ropes, inner doors and Masts. I also picked up some Rafts dirt cheap, my intentions are to use these as a Pontoon bridge, but also to buy some British / American & German infantry, and mount them on a small section of Plastic card and place them in the rafts. This will give me the option of doing River Assaults (like Njimegen), or the Polish/Brit Arnhem withdrawal to the opposite bank or other stuff from
EW when German Infantry would cross bodies of water quickly.
I also bought this Pre-painted Pegasus Bridge, I didn't like the original paint job so decided to redo part of it.
This gave me the opportunity to use a product I have been playing with.
This stuff is painted on, and goes off after about 3-4 hours. You can then spray or paint over it and it protects the layer underneath. You simply peal it off.....
Awesome stuff and endlessly useful if you want to change or amend part of a paint job or simply to protect something if you are painting, airbrushing or spraying.
