Basic scenario: Drop pod comes into play on turn one (assume full of Sternguard). The ADL gun fires interceptor and shoots the pod.
What happens to the embarked troops in the event of :
1. Punch-6 (explodes) result.
2. Enough glances to kill the Pod based on HP damage.

Now comes the tricky part...can the gun not fire on the pod, but instead fire on the troops as they come out of the pod (since they technically deployed from reserves)

As an aside; the results if the pod contained a dreadnought.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Interceptor happens at the _end_ of the movement phase. Any units inside will already have exited.

Also, it can fire at any unit arriving from reserves. The unit inside has arrived from reserves, hence you can shoot at it.

Interceptor is done at the end of the movement phase, so whatever was embarked in the pod will have already disembarked.
Note that as the unit inside also arrived from reserves that turn, you could shoot the Interceptor at them instead if you prefer (and if they're in range / LoS).

Since the interceptor shot occur at the end of the movement phase, the exact same happens as if they were shot in the shooting phase.

So in the event of:
1. Punch-6 (explodes) result = d6 explode and if there are sternguard in range they take the strength 3 hit.
2. Enough glances to kill the Pod based on HP damage = Pod becomes a wreck, no effect on the Sternguard.

If the pod contains a dreadnought the same as above.

Or for killing the metla guys that are about to pop your landraider before they get to fire and allows you to fire a different gun on your turn since you wouldn't be allowed to fire the quad gun effectively giving you one free shot with the quad gun or other weapon on the model depending how you look at it.

Mess with the best, Die like the rest.

What's even better is blowing apart a Sternguard squad when it deepstrikes in like that with a Contemptor Dreadnought.

Heh.

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.
