I don't quite know what made me go for this list, I think it was the wish to try a somewhat close in marine army.

Librarian - Terminator Armour, Force Axe, Storm shield, Vortex of Doom, Null Zone.
- I went for Vortex of Doom mostly due to 'Relentless,' the off chance I might need to kill a tank and the vain hope that the storm shield would stop me from blowing myself up.

Assault Terminators - 3 Storm Shields, Lightning Claw, Lightning Claw Sergeant.
- I may swap the lightning claw guy for a 4th storm shield? The Lightning Claw Sergeant is a bodyguard for my Librarian.

Land Raider Redeemer
To transport the terminators and librarian

Tactical Squad 5 extra men, Plasma Cannon, Flamer, Power Sword Sergeant
I figured some long range AP 2 would be helpful....

Occasionally, I may swap this rhino for a Drop Pod, I've been wanting to try this squad out as a 'poor mans sternguard'

Depending on how organised I am, I may have this as a Twin Linked lascannons, providing I get converting...

So yeah, not particularly Tournament-ish, but should be fun on Club nights! And I'm working on a larger version of the list that should bring in that lascannon storm talon

I dont think that vortex would be the greatest choice for your libby considering there is not a way to get him upfield quickly so i think you would be better off with MoA or GoI to get him upfield faster unless your DSing them in that case MoA would be pretty good instead but the vortex wont be of too much use unless you are shooting a transport to unload some squishies but otherwise MoA would be better to just use it when you assault the tank with all those hammers and the libby gets 2d6 pen at S7 with his Axe

Vortex of Doom is fine. You only have a 2/11 chance of hitting yourself when you fire it.

The Real Question is if you are footslogging it or not. If you are footslogging it, it might not be the best power. However, if you deepstrike, it's fine.

Might of the Ancients is something I'd only use if I was using a staff as well. But generally, when you are barreling into Close COmbat, Null Zone is what you'd want to be using.
