Sorry if this has been brought up before did a search and didn't see anything. Anyway, how do these rules work against mixed units?

Examples:

BA get Hatred(Abaddon), how does this work if he's in a unit (and not in a challenge)?

CSM warlord trait that gives PE (Space Marines), how does this work against a guard blob with a SM IC? What about a SM squad with a guard IC?

Wolf Priests can give PE (Infantry), how would this work against a non-infantry squad with an infantry IC (say Tomb Spiders with an overlord)? What about an infantry squad with a non-infantry IC (say cultists with a cavalry CSM lord)?

Relevant rules quotes:
Hatred:
"A model striking a hated foe in
close combat re-rolls all misses during
the first round of each combat - he does
not get to make re-rolls for Hatred in
subsequent rounds."

PE:
"A unit that contains at least one model with
this special rule re-rolls failed To Hit
and To Wound rolls of 1 if attacking its
Preferred Enemy. This applies to both
shooting and close combat attacks."

I would figure given the IC rules indicate that the character is treated as part of that unit for all rules purposes, you would look at the unit rather than the IC to determine which it is.

It's much the same as Eldar Fortune on Eldar units with attached Dark Eldar characters, this is generally considered to fall into the category of being an Eldar unit and thus eligible to have fortune cast upon it.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Sorry to dig this old thread up but this became relevant again for both 7th Ed and Raven Guards Preferred enemy IC from HH...

This still applicable? DO RG get rerolls when shooting at say, Deathshroud with Typhon?
