Could be a sign maybe? Either they're getting desperate to give it the sales a push (though if i recall its still more popular than Uncharted Seas), or it could be that its close to getting more attention like DW does?

I vote for the second option. I think Firestorm will be getting some love.

I hope so! The game is fun, fine and looks interstellar on the tabletop

I remember reading somewhere that there is an expansion in the horizon similar to Dystopian Wars with ground units also.

I think part of the issue is that, well.. Spartan Games really only has 1 game. It just has several skins. Uncharted Seas and Firestorm however, don't feel as well fleshed out as DW.

DW really is where things came together and the ruleset worked. A lot of ideas were prototyped in Firestorm, and you can see where a lack of real game designers on staff bit them in the butt for their first edition, when lots of rules just didn't *work*.

I suspect they're trying to draw people back to Firestorm, which is cool. But they need to differentiate Firestorm from Dystopian Wars in a way that's more than just 'it's the same game, but we use spaceships instead of blimps'.

Firestorm doesn't feel very space-ey, which is a big issue.
