Sooo... i was reading Empire ealier and saw that the new Thor Film had a villian called Malekith The Accursed who is leader of the Dark Elves. Eh?

Doing a little research i saw that this was in fact a long standing character in the Marvel comics dating back to 1984.

Now what i am wondering is who came first. Marvel or GW. Is the Warhammer character a homage (read rip off) of Thors nemesis??

I don't believe GW's Malekith existed in 84.

They probably claim copyright on it anyway.

Actually he (technically) did, wfb 2nd edition contained fluff for the elf wars in the bestiary section, including malekith. He wasnt as fleshed out mind you, and its when you compare the two characters that the glaring similarities show. Seriously look into it, its QI...
