I really like the models for the Vindicare and Callidus assasins. Back in the day you could field them as part of an imperial guard army (before grey knights). Is this still possible? If so which codex does it say this in? and is it still possible if they are allies e.g. My chaos army takes allies of convenience imperial guard with the assasins in them.

Or are assasins now solely useable by grey knights?

Assassins can only be used by Grey Knights. If you want to use them as allies you will have to take a GK secondary detachment.

Aww that's a shame, funnily enough chaos can't ally with grey knights. Unless you ask the sisters of battle.
