So this is my current 2k list for GK. The problem I have is that i don't know whether to use Crowe and make purifiers troops or Draigo and have Paladins as troops. Purifiers are cheaper and a full unit can fit in a LRR, but Paladins are 2W 2+ save facerollers.

HQ:
Coteaz
Crowe
---250

Troops:
10 Purifiers
+9 Halberds
+KotF - MC Halberd, Digital Weapons
+Psybolt
---290

10 Purifiers
+9 Halberds
+KotF - MC Halberd, Digital Weapons
+Psybolt
---290

Henchman
+4 Crusaders
+7 Death Cult Assassins
---165

Henchman
+7 Psykers
_Chimera w/ Multi-laser, HB
---125

Fast Attack:
Stormraven
+Psybolt
+TL MM
---225

LRC
+Psybolt
---260

New list! Crowe wanders, Purifiers are in LRR and Stormraven, C+DCA henchman unit are in the LRC with Coteaz, and the Psykers roll around blasting things, assuming they don't kill themselves. Is there a better way to spend those 125 points?

I dont like the fact that you only have 2 scoring units in 10 bodies. I know the list puts out some hurt but with the new FAQ making rending shooting no longer AP2 it makes them slightly worse at killing tanks.

I wouls drop the interceptors and the redeemer for a second storm raven and some more paladins or other troops.

5 interceptors is just too easy to kill and dont impact much. I prefer them with the incinerator anyways as the 30 inch move and burn is sweet.

Well, I was going to use the Intercepters simply as a last-minute contest/capture unit, but I see your point. I'm not too worried about the new Rending ruling. I may actually change the list to a Draigo/Coteaz+Henchman list after messing around on Battlescribe with silly lists. Turns out, I like the silly list.

Also, bear in mind Draigo's Grand Strategy doohicky makes D3 units scoring, I could make the Purifiers scoring, then combat squad them, unless I can't.

I am not a fan of land raiders in general, and doubly not a fan of land raider for GK units.

Land Raiders die far too fast for the number of points they cost.

Meltaguns and Lance weapons will kill them quickly using the Damage Table.
Haywire and Gauss weapons will kill your land raider quickly using hull points.

They are rather poor in a TAC style list.
some lists you face will not be running the weapons to deal with your LR and it will do great.
However, most lists will have some counter to AV 14, and will be able to handle your LR faster than you might like.

Also, Land raiders are best used for pure assault units.
GK units are not pure assault units, they are hybrid shooting and assault units.

One of the biggest strengths of a Purifier unit is that they are very powerful in both the shooting and the assault phase. It makes them a very hard unit to counter cost effectively.
By placing them in a vehicle with no firepoints, you are unable to make use of their powerful shooting.

Well, I play mostly against Dark Eldar, Dark Angels, Necrons, and Tau. Tau are the only ones I actually I might have a problem with, simply because of the Railguns. What would you suggest? I planned on shooting the Psybolt Storm bolters after disembarking the Purifiers to soften up the unit I assault. Would Stormravens be better as assault vehicles? I chose Land Raiders because they're tough and Assault Vehicles.

Dark eldar usually run a large number of Lance weapons and the wyches can take Hawire grenades, both of which are very deadly to land raiders.

Depending on the build, Necron lists can run a large number of Gauss weapons which can take your land raider as well.

It might work okay against the Dark Angels, as they can bring meltaguns, but it is not something that is always in the list.

Also something to note, shooting on the same turn that you assault is not always a good idea. If you shoot well, then you will kill models in the front of the unit and put you out of assault range. Remember that you may take some overwatch shots as well putting more distance between you.

Also, the enemy could fail a morale test and retreat out of assault range. If they are marines with ATSkNF, retreating is not a bad thing to do at all.

If you are assaulting, you usually really need the assault more than the shooting.

Personally, I feel that GK units (In general) work well with Rhinos as transports or they can go on foot.

In a rhino you can fire 2 psycannons out of the top hatch for a turn or turn as you move up.
You can get out of the rhino and shoot with everyone, then flat out the rhino in front of you to block return fire.
Lastly it is very cheap and if it is lost it is no big concern.

If you want to avoid first blood, then going on foot is viable as well, (though usually for strike squads over purifiers, just for more bodies.)
With move and shoot 24" guns, you can usually shoot at something on every turn as you work your way into the middle of the board.

GK units (in general) usually want to be shooting from turns 1-4 to do as much damage with their guns as they can, Then on turn 5-7 you can assault as needed to clean up whatever is left or to take away objectives.
