I assembled and primed this model over a year ago and was always intimidated by it. The other day I decided to do the entire thing in an afternoon. Honestly, I think it turned out better than things I spent 30+ hours on. Looking back on it I'm finding mistakes, especially after taking pictures, but I am really happy with it regardless.

What do you guys think?

looks good to me, only saw a few things.
but that's the great thing about painting, you can always fix somthing

it looks like you stopped painting after putting on a black wash. try going over some areas to give a general highlight, staying out of the resesses. it will help alto XD

I think the mix of bright colours and black wash give it a very vivid striking appearance. Maybe the cloth needs to be more than just red, but I like it overall.

Pretty decent looking for six hours of work. It's simple but effective

I think it looks great. Oddly enough, I also find that I often end up with better results when I don't sweat the results so much. In any case, one suggestion I would make, is that on yellows, try the brown wash or even the sepia to give your more subtle/less dirty shadows, and then highlight on top of it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The robe is actually Blazing Orange, and the entire thing has a Badab Black wash. I may go over in the future and highlight stuff, but I have a million monster minis to paint for D&D!
