If you place a bastion partially in your deployment zone and your part of the table, can you place non infiltrating unit in it?

If you place a fortress with one building in your deployment zone and another part on your table half are they longer then 6" and can you use this to "sling shots" foot walking units faster then you regularly should be able to?

1) No, because they would have deployed outside their deployment zone. (Measure to the building)
2) If the building is longer than 6" then yes, you "slingshot", but only if you can then disembark / shoot from this position.

So not so easy to exploit then I see.

I am trying to come up with ways to cleverly use buildings.

As a bonys question, if tyranids are in a building, could the venemthrope or the psykick power shielding give a 5+ coversave on things nearby?

(Also, probably the tyranids cannot enter buildings with MC's?

Only infantry can enter buildings, unless there is a specific exemption

You measure the range of area effect to the hull of the vehicle, and you treat buildings as transport vehicles with some exceptions.
