Hi all

I've got some minis off ebay and they've been liberally superglued into some weird and wonderful poses that I'd like to change. Is there anything that will break down superglue that's okay to use on plastic?

Not really. Try freezing them, then warming up. Cured superglue has different thermal properties to plastic and this could loosen the bond.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go.

Turns superglue into "gum". No idea what it does to plastic though.

The freezing & warming trick worked. Still had to carefully prise the bits apart with a knife, but it did weaken it abit.

I only have a few minis that need this treatment. If I ever buy some more with dodgy poses I think I'll get some glue remover like you guys suggest, though I'll try on some sprue or something first.

Fairy Power Spray can remove super glue, but you will need to soak it for a bit.

It will also stripe paint off the model too
