Hello Dakka!

Welcome to the dark and twisted world of...

-pause for effect-

MY PAINTING AND MODELLING BLOG! *Gasp!*

Now, I'm notoriously bad at seeing any project through to it's end, so the idea is that having a blog SHOULD encourage me to work on these guys regularly and get them done!

Oh, and most of the projects you see here will be for sale upon completion, so if you particularly like a finished product, do PM me!

The perfect kick-start for this was delivered to me the other night, as a friend of mine who is leaving the hobby sold me his old Chaos Space Marines at a pretty bargainous price; the catch being, their condition was less than admirable. Worse than that, in fact. After panicking for a while at the shocking quality (as the original plan was to buy them cheap, and sell them for a snikky profit ), I realised that it would actually be quite an enjoyable venture to try and fix them up.

And so began my quest.

So, the first projects I have lined up are as follows:

Project No. 1 - World Eaters

These were some of the few models that weren't actually too bad, as they are just bare plastic:

But I really like these models, so I plan to remodel some of the arms/legs and paint them up in their pre-heresy White/Blue livery; I realize that post-heresy they are Red/Gold, but I just find that boring, y'know? Plus, largely white armour provides brilliant oppourtunites for gore!

Also included was this metal Lord of Khorne:

Which, as you can see, currently suffers from a severe case of bad paintjob. So this guy will be receiving a post-heresy do-over too, becoming the champion of the unit!

These should (if all goes well) look awesome when finished, and will be on sale upon completion!

Project No. 2 - Lootin' Time

These were rather more shocking. A pair of vehicles (a rhino and a predator) came with the lot, and they were in rougher condition:

As you can see, the Rhino is in pretty bad shape. What you can't tell by the image is how poorly assembled it is. This picture was taken after I'd removed the several thousand spikes attached to this, it looked more like a daemonic hedgehog than a transport (except a daemonic hedgehog would be extremely cool, which this was not). Also, the Predator isn't much better, this again was taken after removing some spikes and seemingly random weapons that the owner had attached to the poor thing.

There were two ways I could take these:

1 - Carefully fix them up, using bits bought from eBay and suchlike to bring them up to scratch
OR
2 - Have a blast lootin' dem fer da Waaaaagh!

I chose the latter.

So, with the aid of plasticard, spare bits and some Orky Intuition, I should be able to make some characterful Looted Wagons out of these! These however won't be for sale, they're staying for my Mekanikul Waaagh

So, thanks for stopping in folks! I hope to update regularly, starting from tomorrow night, where I'll update with some World Eaters!
Please comment with C&C (though not yet, I haven't started!) and such, or even express your interest (or disinterest) to keep me going!

Stay frosty,
TheFatElf
