hey there i previously posted a topic about some super cocky player who just started he thinks that he is going to mop the floors with the entire club and now he wants to take me on because im one of the best at the club (were just a pretty friendly club no super uber tourney players here only a few every so often when we host a tourney but as far as the regulars go im in the top 3) and jjust because he beat a flash git old zog fun list from one of the top three he thinks that he can take on the world so im no longer going to be playing a casual list to beat him now im here to curb stomp him but im not a big fan of wraithwing and i dont think that the anni barges will be of much help against his list

his list is pretty simple just a melta combi melta 5 man drop pod with a flamer squad in razor backs that have assault cannons CC'd with a ML another plasma with a heavy bolter in rhino and a footslog ML flamer squad to camp back, then he has a bike captain with ten bikes with meltas MM attack bike, a command squad in assault cannon razorback, a hellfire dread and lastly a dev CC'd with a lascannon and 3 ML he has used this list only for his past 4 games so i think that he will use it again

Anrakyr is to make him shoot himself with all those razorbacks and his dread hopefully his arrow wont wiff like it usually does and do a fair amount of damage to all those combat squads
all the warriors are to absorb fire and be a general annoyance to him but those assault cannons will be a bit of a problem unfortunately i only have 10 immortals so im just gonna have annoy him with more bodies then he has bullets
immortals are there to lead the charge hopfully taking most of the assault cannon shots till i can take those down
C'tan is my mascot he is modeled like Majjin Buu from DBZ so i usually take him because he is fun and im hoping that his meltas will go poof when he is trying to shoot me with them
destroyers are to be a harrassment and pain to my enemy and take out any bikes or marines that peek their heads out
scarabs are to tie up any unit of infantry or vehicles i find being a major threat that i need to stall for a while or just eat
doomsday arks are there for my major firepower and to put a decent whole in most things it shoots at i would have taken doom scythes but we have a general agreement at our club that if the opponent isnt taking fliers neither should you unless you both agree on it

20 bricks of Warriors can be a bit of a liability if you don't have a lord or Overlord baby sitting them. Maybe trim those down to the 10 to 15 range and take more (or slot in some crypteks for some extra pewpew)

I would recommend getting a WS/MSS/RO lord for the pyhrian Immortals. Gives you a legitimate scoring threat you can be more aggressive with.

I think Stalkers play very nicely with the Arks (not too mention Anrakyr's Arrow), though I'm not sure where you could pull the points to get one.

ya i was struggling a bit for points i originally was running one stalker but wanted to bump it to 2 as they always go poof for me when not used in pairs so i decided to drop them all together

i think i might run 2 squads of 10 and one blob of 20 for a res lord and maybe a lancetek or two with the leftovers or if i cant get a couple of those i might just go for a harptek instead just to be a nuisance for my opponent

Anni barges are one of a few units in the game that actually benefit from moving over 6in as a non-fast skimmer. Yes the gun has no AP value so marines will get their save but they offer weight of fire against any target.
Would you rather put 20 warrior shots into 1 dread/razorback with he hope of glancing it to death, or put enough str7 shots into it to pen it. Or to guarantee that those 10 bikers will be wounded.

The annihilation barge, for 90 points, averages 6 wounds a shooting phase versus MEQ and t4 models, they also perform well against TMCs due to the str 7.
At av13, with a 5+ jink save, and that kind of firepower for 90 points, they are a steal, and an easy and effective way to round out your army.
(also work in a pinch as AA, due to twin linking, and hitting on 6's being 3 hits)

Its all pointless now though I already beat him we rolled the scouring and I got a 4 a 3 and the 1 on my side I had the ten warriors sitting back all game on the 4 and my immortals got tied up with the bikes most the game the ctan actually did very good he blew up three guys fron his fire and took down a dread and a couple tacs after blowing up and taking down a lascannon and another marine
Anrakyr took down two razorbacks and a tac squad in cc from combat resolution and his dread shot another razorback in the and killed it
The scarabs got instagibbed from flamers and bolters
The destroyers managed to take one of his 3 pointers and he lost obly have a 2 and a 3
Overall I think I brought his "swag" down to a low for now
