Is this designed for/from C:SM or C:GK? Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually, now that I've read through my relevant codices, I think 240pts if pretty undercosted for what you're getting.
The problem is that you're combining elements from two different standard HQs, so its gets kinda hazy what it would cost. First, lets look at a GK Grand Master.
Grand Master with relevant wargear and weapons is 220pts at mastery level 2, without the S10 hammer and the ability to make sweeping advances. Assuming another level of psychic-ness would be another 35pts, his cost would then be 255pts, and still would lack S10 hammer and the ability to make sweeping advances. Oh, and he doesn't have a 3++ either, which would normally cost 10-15pts, bringing him to 270pts. He also doesn't have Eternal Warrior, which is a huge boost as well, easily worth 25pts, making him 295pts. Now he also doesn't have a psychic hood either, which is also incredibly useful. I imagine you see where I'm going with this...though to be fair, the GK Grand Master does have Grand Strategy, which is nice to have. Still, easily a near 300pts character when you factor in the custom unit tax.
Now, if we tried to do this with the vanilla dex, we would use the standard Chapter Master and essentially tack on the current prices for psychic levels (35pts a level), plus relevant wargear.
This then becomes;
Chapter Master w/terminator armour, stormshield, thunderhammer = 195pts.
Then we mastercraft the hammer for 5pts and add in the three psychic levels, bringing him up to 300pts. Note that this is even before we factor in the hood, the S10 hammer, the ability to make sweeping advances, and adamantium will.
Honestly, I think he's too much rolled into 1. If he was mastery level 2 without the hood, I could see him at 280pts, and even then, I'd make him more as a sort of tax to ensure he's not too powerful when you play against your friends (always think of your opponents! Make it fun, not crazy powerful!). Remember that he is a 4 wound, 2+/3++, Eternal Warrior swinging a hammer that will ID T5, and able to cast two powers a turn. Beatstick if I ever saw one.
At mastery level 3 with the hood, I'd be leaning towards 100pts above your original estimate to be honest. Three powers a turn, a pain to kill, excellent in combat, and the ability to shut down other psykers in one easy to manage package.
