Subject: Tank shock from off the board

This situtaion arose in a game of late.
The Chimera tank shocked on from reserve - however it had to stop at the first enemy model under the tank shock rules and as a result its hull was not fully on the board.
What is the correct outcome?

It's destroyed. BTW, why did it have to stop at the first enemy model? Tank shocks purpose is to go THROUGH units and disperse them to one side or the other. You only stop the vehicle if a successful death or glory attack happened.

Tankshocks move a minimum of 6inches, if anything gets in the way resolve the tankshock and/or ram. Results from a tankshock either means 1) the unit ran away, 2) DoG victory, or 3) pass leadership and they simply step aside as the vehicle zips by. If you stop on top of the unit in question to reach your declared distance, the unit then moves the shortest distance to allow you to be there and 1inch away (i do not think this means you can viablly split a unit out of coherensy, i'd imagine the whole unit shifts to one side)
EDIT: If however any models cannot be moved to allow you to sit where you need to be and have 1inch clearance (i.e. walls, board edge, impassible terrain, etc) then they are removed as a casualty (SQUISH!)

They do not need to move 6" minimum, they only need to move at least combat speed, which is up to 6". Also, the enemy unit MUST take a morale check prior to any action. If this is passed, they may DoG or move out of the way. If this is failed, then they fall back and must regroup next turn.
You are thinking of ramming, which requires a movement of cruising speed, thus that also means that vehicles such as Monoliths and Leman Russ tanks can never ram (due to Heavy rule).
