Neat and clean.

your gun barrel doesn't look finished. bit of red on it as well or it might be a reflection

How would you suggest it be finished? I was trying to make it look like carbon burn.

On the 3rd picture on the side of the barrel i can see what looks to be red paint from the storm bolter.

for scorched barrels if i recall would be base coat metal
then dry brush scorched brown about mid way

then dry brush black about 1/4th the way up and the front.

though im sure there are easier ways to do it now.
