there is a problem that has been bugging me about wh40k orks

shouldnt there be different types of warboss

i dont know if this iz just me but i feel that they talk about all the fantastic warbosses that are stronger than the norm but even ghazghkull dosnt seem that great he just has some cool special rules

for instance with the spacemarines they have marenus calgar who is (in y opinion) so much more beter than a normal chapter master and they have captians and chapter masters cant they up ghazghkull and make like a big boss and worboss

opinions? am i just to techy ?

I totally agree. Here's sum thin I thought up a little while ago:

Veteran warboss:
+1 A, t, and W
Has normal options, but can take a burna (to give him that power weapon)- 10 points
Snazzgun- +5 points
Makes ANY amount of nobz squads troops, to the maximum number of troops choices allowed

So far, 119 points

I agree to the extent that it would be cool if their were more special character warbosses, e.g the arch-arsonist of charadon or something. Currently there is really only ghaz and the rest are sort of just hyped up nobs. I think that the base warboss are he is currently offers quite a bit of diversity. I wouldn't be too keen on changing their basic statline however. To beef up his stats a little, would probably increase his cost to around 100pts raw. Then to increase his tounghness and wounds would almost make him an MC, just not as massive. I find that one of the best things is that the warboss is a pretty good HQ for only 60pts and he can be tailored to many roles quite well.

Anyhow if another HQ variant of the warboss was to be made this is what I'd suggest,
+1A, +1Ld and maybe +1W
Increasing the toughness to 6 would make him immune to instant death and then T7 on a bike, (which is a bit ridiculous IMO). Also to have a normal warboss, not a special character one, that is immune to instant death is a tad unfair. Marines have Calgar, we have Ghaz so thats even in my book.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

The most immediate response I could think of is, based on the 6th-edition codex format, Orks will get their own Warlord Table like the rest. Chances are the entries will correspond to different Clans; the difficult thing would be making the bonuses more universal and not dependent on army composition.

Other than that, I imagine they'll lower the base cost of HQs and/or give them certain wargear standard ("Your Big Mek gets Eavy Armor for free. Now shut up and quit complaining."), and from there when they add the armory options, there will be more equipment choices though nowhere as many as the 3rd edition one. Not to mirror Chaos too much, but giving the Warboss the option to unlock Troop Slots based on the equipment taken would be nice too.

Most people have said the Warbosses ought to be more monstrous. Well, how 'bout this:

Keep the basic warboss as-is. But there's a New Warboss.

"Bull Grock Warboss"- 100pts base (or thereabouts). WS6, BS1, Str5, T7, A4, W4, Init2, Ld7. He's got the standard Warboss options minus the Attack Squig and Ammo Runt (he keeps eating them), and he's a Monstrous Creature.

Essentially, he's the Warboss that's "Thick as a Bull Grock" but crazy big, old and powerful.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

No, I do not believe the warboss needs to be upgraded to that much. The only ork character currently in the codex that i believe needs to be T6 is Ghaz (along with a LD10), not counting Wazz, who is on a bike. I would however like to see a rokkit pack option for either big mek or warboss. along with a burna.
