Hey Dakka,
I'm slowly starting to work on my Chaos Lord. Decided to make him with a bit of back story - you see, he's a former Wolf Guard who has fallen to Chaos and became a Lord eventually.
I didn't like any helmed or bald, maimed head as CSM usually have - I wanted a feral face of a true berzerker. This is where my friend's SW bitz stock came in handy. I think the head fits perfectly.
I also decided to leave his former weapon - Thunder Hammer in place, only desecrate it a bit SW markings are mostly gone, replaced by Khorne Icons. It's going to act as Power Maul.
For dual-wield +1A bonus he has a second power weapon - Axe. This one is going to be pure demonic style. Model is pinned only for the photo - I prefer painting separate parts

There is also going to be a piece of cloth on his crotch to cover that gap between the legs - but for reasons obvious it's not yet there.
Also there is going to be a DE Slave Girl next to one of his legs - kind of a tribute to old berzerker related pictures from the 80's ;P

Not a bad idea but the head kinda buggers me. Probably the hair (Im not a fan of SW heads).
The pose however is really nice.

Yeah I'm not too fond of the head either. Think a head with long hair and beard would work better, like the miniature below:

That is some nice work. I love kit bashing, do ti all the time and I think that you do it very well. I would like to see this model painted. The head could just be the guy's head, you don't have to say it's a Space wolf. The big hammer is good, I like the way you've added a Khorne symbol to it.

The whole idea started with this head so it is here to stay
It will look very different from what you might imagine now - the hair is specifically needed for the burning-like hair effect of Ares from God of War series

Since, those legs were fitted for special scenic base coming with Terminator Lord kit - I had to re-do the base to fit that pre-made pose.
Now it's much more natural I guess. I also changed the positioning of the axe to be more aggressive.
Lastly I added the Slave Girl



Better?

I think it looks very cool, I like the head and the hammer is great.
