Hi!

If you remember, I made a space marine on a large scale.
But as I said, that was just a test. That is why I did a new "big" marine.

I modified his arm (into a bionic one) his trunk and legs, (of an exterminator). I added etched brasses and improvements to equip the shoulder pads of the servoarmour.

After placing the mini in a challenging pose, I needed to set it in a terrain, and I checked my terrain pieces. I used one that simulates the ruins of a futuristic cathedral. I decided to make a small change, adding a banner and a surface patterned with Milliput.

But something was missing ... I concluded that a group of tyranids on the floor would give a touch of drama to the scene.

And the paint job ... looking for the contrast between scenery, Tyranids and ultramarine.

Hope you like it!

The window is just fabulous. Great work brother. You've done an amazing job with your painting and your modeling here.

I don't like the color of the gaunts. They blend to much with the graound. They almost get lost on the model. Might make them a bit brighter. But a really nice job on it none the less.

That is some nice work there! The whole diorama is very nicely done.

I have to ask though, how did you do the "stained glass" on the ruins?

I like the colour of the gaunts they seem more organic. And it draws the eye more to the Ultramarine and stain glass window instead since its the focal point of the piece. great work.

I think the point of that is to focus our attention on the Ultramarine as the singular figure in this piece

Very nice painting, but I'm a little confused by the stained glass (of a painting of an action shot, of a differently colored ultramarine?) and the pose, which makes him kind of look like he's falling or twisting.

Again, very nice technique, just confused by some of the choices.

WOWWW!! Thanks a lot!!

Balsak, maybe you're right, but I tried to highlight the ultramarine. And, according to GW, tyranids used their skin tones to camouflage with the environment... or not? Thanks for your words!!

Shingouki, it takes me 3 or 4 days. But the planning ... at least one week!

Darkdm, the stained glass window is only a printed paper. Very cheap and easy to use, haha!

Spiraling... I can't understand you very well, but thanks for your comment!

Be happy!!

I think if he'd made them too gaudy (gaunty? ) they would have drawn the eye from the centerpiece. They are there to fill the background and add to the story rather than draw attention by themselves. Their only contrast is the green of the tongue and that sets them off nicely from their background. The painting 'spotlight' is where it needs to be, on the Last Man standing...
